The menu at Tuome is concise but impactful, with each dish meticulously crafted to deliver a memorable flavor experience. While the menu may change seasonally, some items have become legendary and are a must-try for any first-time visitor.
Starting with the appetizers, the EGG, a crispy deviled egg with chili, is often praised as a surprisingly flavorful and delightful bite-sized teaser. The SCALLOP appetizer is another popular choice, lauded for its surprising amount of flavor. For a larger sharing appetizer, the HAMACHI (FOR TWO) or the DIM SUM TOWER (FOR TWO) are excellent choices that showcase the chef’s creativity and a range of tastes.
When it comes to the main courses, two dishes consistently stand out in customer reviews. The SNOW CRAB, often served with noodles, squash, and dashi butter, is widely considered a signature dish and a highlight of the menu. Diners rave about the perfectly cooked noodles and the fresh, flavorful crab. The PIG OUT (FOR TWO), a generous dish of Berkshire pork with spicy peanut noodles, is another legendary item. It's a decadent and satisfying meal that is perfect for sharing.
While some reviews note that the main courses may be on the smaller side for those with a large appetite, the quality and intensity of flavor more than make up for it. The dishes are designed to be "enlarged appetizers," each one a concentrated burst of culinary art.
To round out the meal, the side dishes like BROCCOLI and RICE are prepared with the same level of care as the main courses, often featuring unique flavor combinations that elevate them beyond simple sides. The dessert offerings, while sometimes noted as a bit underwhelming compared to the spectacular savory courses, still provide a pleasant finisher to the meal. The beignets, for example, have been described as a "cute, pleasant finisher" that can be made into a fun ice cream sandwich.
Tuome is more than just a place to eat; it is a destination for food enthusiasts. The experience, from the intimate atmosphere to the stunningly executed dishes and fantastic wine list, makes it a perfect choice for a special occasion. It’s the kind of restaurant that leaves you wanting more, a feeling that speaks volumes about the quality and creativity of the food. For those in New York City seeking a fine dining experience that is both sophisticated and approachable, Tuome is a truly exceptional choice.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Went for summer restaurant week and it was a great deal ($60 for 3 courses) getting to try most of their regular menu items. My personal favorites are all their appetizers (especially devil eggs and chicken liver mousse) and snow crab noodle. Their main dishes are on the saltier side. The desserts however were a bit underwhelming compared to other dishes.
August 23 · Xuefei ChenCame here as a party of 2 in May of 2024. I love how dimly lit the restaurant was and it really enhanced my atmosphere at the bar.The Scallion Puffs are on the house and is definitely one of the best on the house starters that I ever had. The eggs and scallop appetizers were excellent teasers to our main dishes. Both were bite sized, packed a surprising amount of flavor, and left us wanting more. The mains are on the smaller size. I got the Lamb while my friend got the Snow Crab. Both were like enlarged appetizers. Each were extremely tasty but still left us wanting a bit more. The Beignets were a cute, pleasant finisher.Overall, the experience and dishes were spectacular. Big eaters will be asking for larger portions, but I will definitely come back for the special occasion.
August 03 · vincent xueTuome is such a gem in the East Village. The vibe is intimate and cozy—perfect for a date night or catching up with friends over great food and actually being able to hear each other. The food was incredible. The deviled eggs were a standout, as was the side of broccoli (surprisingly addictive). The desserts were a hit, too. My personal favorites were the lobster rice dish and the crab pasta—both rich, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The quail was a favorite among my friends, and the chef’s plate that was brought out (scallops and hummus?) was absolutely delicious.Service was top notch—attentive without being overbearing, and we never felt rushed. Overall, a thoughtful and memorable dining experience. Will definitely be back.
June 12 · CalliIt has its reason to get the star. Dishes were all carefully designed with layers of flavors.(Surprisingly, an appetizer on the restaurant week menu but not on the regular one was amazing.)🍉✨💚Watermelon with ricotta was only on the restaurant week menu. But the taste has blown me away. It was refreshing with sweetness and the light sourness from Kalamansi. It was a dish with many ideas.Chicken liver was a classic dish. But the milk bun was toasted perfectly.💛🥣Chicken with congee as the entree was delicious but a safe one. It tasted like an upgraded version of everything. It was my friend’s favorite.Snow crab noodles was a heavy one with thick and creamy sauce. Noodles were cooked at the right time and chewy, which was a plus.🍫💖🖤Chocolate mousse with some cake crumbs, sesame, and toasted rice (I guess) was beautiful. Sweet but not too rich. Enough to mark the end of the dinner.Banana pudding was a classic, good but kinda too sweet.
August 25 · Julia H동양과 서양이 만난 새로운 맛! 미슐랭 원스타 인정!The Restaurant Week option was a great choice. The panaapiri-like dish was excellent, and the watermelon appetizer was the best. The pig-out entrée was also good, and the dessert (chocolate pudding and vanilla) ended the meal nicely. The space felt cozy, though a little tight. Service was a bit rushed, but the staff clearly tried their best and were attentive overall.
