Went this past February in a group of 4 to enjoy the Lily of the Valley Afternoon Tea. Attentive staff, chique venue, and lovely afternoon tea display. My favorite of the desserts was the parfait and the sandwiches were all decent. No teas stood out for me but none were bad. The overall Afternoon tea service was well executed and an enjoyable experience. Right on par with the price point. The take home boxes are absolutely cute as well. You will enjoy! - Ginou l

What is worth choosing

Afternoon Tea at Majorelle is a destination for those who seek an exceptional dining experience. The restaurant's appeal lies in its harmonious blend of classic elegance and modern flair. It's not just about the food, but about the entire sensory experience. The opulent decor, inspired by the Majorelle Gardens, provides a stunning backdrop that transports diners from the streets of New York to a serene Moroccan oasis. This is a place where every detail is considered, from the carefully selected menu items to the impeccable table settings.

One of the most compelling reasons to choose Majorelle is its unique take on afternoon tea. While many places in New York offer this service, few do it with the grace and sophistication found here. The "Lily of The Valley Afternoon Tea" is a perfect example, as noted in a customer review. It's a full-fledged experience with a beautiful display of sandwiches and desserts, served by an attentive staff in a chic venue. The desserts, like the praised parfait, are particularly memorable, and the overall service is executed with a high degree of professionalism that justifies the price point. The fact that the restaurant offers take-home boxes for uneaten pastries adds a thoughtful touch that enhances the overall customer experience.

Beyond the tea service, the menu of light bites offers a taste of refined French cuisine. Dishes such as the Salade Majorelle, Scottish Smoked Salmon Royal, and Crab Cakes are perfect for a sophisticated lunch or a light dinner. The cocktail list, with unique offerings like the Lily Of The Valley, provides an excellent complement to the food. The highlight of Majorelle is not just one thing, but the combination of its many strengths. The cozy atmosphere provided by the fireplace, the high-quality coffee and dessert, and the great tea selection all contribute to a dining experience that is both comforting and luxurious. It's a place that is popular for various dining occasions, whether it's a special celebration, a business lunch, or a solo treat. The welcoming, LGBTQ+ friendly environment also makes it a comfortable and inclusive space for a diverse clientele.

The restaurant's popularity means that reservations are recommended, a testament to its high demand. While some minor service hiccups can occur, as with any high-traffic establishment, the overall consensus from most visitors is overwhelmingly positive, praising the chic venue, attentive staff, and well-executed service. The quality and value provided are considered on par with the price point, which is a significant factor for fine dining. In summary, Afternoon Tea at Majorelle offers a slice of Parisian elegance in New York City, making it a truly worthwhile choice for anyone seeking a refined, memorable, and delicious dining experience.
