★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Seating was really fast. We reserve with a day in advance. The only problem was that the ac went down, but still, food was amazing. Our table was shaking the server noticed but didn't do much about it. We were tasting a lot of plates. My wife and I felt left over since we didn't order everything at the same time. But food and drinks make this place an experienceWill be back for sure
July 16 · David ValenzuelaWe had the most incredible dinner tonight. The space is beautiful- great lighting (date night dream), open kitchen, ambient noise and good background music without being too loud to talk. The dishes were a good mix of creatively plated classics and fun Peruvian spin offs- equally as surprising as they were approachable crowd-pleasers.Service was formal but friendly. Everyone was extremely knowledgeable, and as excited about the food as we were.Thank you to the Artesano team for an amazing and memorable evening.A special thank you to Chef Daniel for going above and beyond to make sure we had a good time- your attention to detail did not go unnoticed. All our love.
August 02 · Elena VailGreat for IG photos, terrible food. I really wanted to like this place, but it was a huge letdown. We spent $200 on five small dishes and left disappointed. I don’t mind paying for quality, but the food was extremely below average. The signature risotto was literally raw—crunchy rice at a high-end restaurant is inexcusable.Tried two of their three ceviches. Flavor was okay, but the fish tasted off and sour. The seafood dish was the only silver lining, but even that was basically a bowl of rice with a $50 price tag.My cocktail was bland and forgettable. To be fair, the service was good and friendly, but unfortunately that couldn’t make up for the poor food and overpriced menu. Save your money—don’t come here.
August 19 · D DFThis is a charming, cozy restaurant—not tiny, but not too large either. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the service was excellent. Our server was incredibly helpful and attentive, especially when it came to accommodating my wife’s gluten-free needs. He took the time to go over the menu with her and explain which dishes could be modified, which we really appreciated.Everyone was friendly, except for one female staff member—possibly a supervisor or host—who came across a bit dry and seemed like she didn’t really want to be bothered when we asked a question. The food was absolutely delicious, although the portions weren’t huge. Still, the quality and flavor made it totally worth it. I highly recommend visiting if you’re in the area, this food was BUENAZOO!!
July 02 · Humberto ZarateI’ve been following Chef Rodrigo Fernandini’s drool-worthy posts on Facebook and Instagram, so I had to know…does he have a restaurant in the U.S.? To my surprise and delight, he does, and it’s right in NYC! Naturally, we went for lunch at Artesano, and it was everything I hoped for. The flavors were right on point. The menu struck a perfect balance, just enough options to excite, without overwhelming. For starters, we had the pulpo causa, and it was so good we ordered a second. We also tried the ceviche, which was just okay for me, but my husband loved it.For our main dishes, he went with the arroz chaufa with beef, and I had the pan con chicharrón sandwich. That sandwich was mouthwatering, perfectly crafted and full of flavor. I also ordered a chicha pisco cocktail, and wow… the flavors were just perfect! We arrived just before a large group, so we got to enjoy the calm and cozy vibe. The decor was stylish and welcoming, though I personally think a few more real plants could brighten things up even more. Bonus: the bathroom was clean!Overall, it was a great experience. We’ll definitely be back. As Chef Fernandini says—Buenazo!
