Arthur and Sons Italian American Club Introduce
In a city where culinary trends come and go, some restaurants become instant classics by honoring tradition. Arthur and Sons Italian American Club is one such place. Located in the heart of the West Village, it's a love letter to the classic Italian-American dining experience of the 1990s, a time when "everything in NY was just better than anywhere else," as the restaurant's own philosophy states. This establishment, created by third-generation chef Joe Isidori, is a tribute to the "old school food, vibes & attitude" that have shaped New York's iconic red sauce joints.
From the moment you walk through the door, you’re enveloped in a warm, cozy atmosphere with a "social club vibe." The decor, with its vibrant red and gold accents, plush banquettes, and vintage lighting, sets the perfect stage for a memorable meal. This is a place where classic Italian-American favorites are served with care, and where the music and ambiance are just as important as the food. As one customer review enthusiastically declared, it's "The new CLASSIC!!!"
This article will take you on a detailed tour of Arthur and Sons, exploring its prime location and accessibility, its range of services, and the standout features that make it a must-visit for locals and tourists alike. We’ll delve into the menu's highlights, from the perfect Chicken Parm to the inventive cocktails, and explain why a trip here is "worth the experience."
What makes Arthur and Sons special is its commitment to authenticity and quality. The Isidori family has been in the restaurant business since 1954, and that deep-rooted tradition is evident in every dish. December 20 · Brian Duffy1/1/24 first time here. We've been wanting to come here for a meal, this initial time was for drinks and dessert. We sat at the window bar, nice but tight. The GF had the pino noir and i had the hazelnut old fashioned - both very good.We also had the Lemoncello cheesecake. It was an interesting variety of cheesecake. A little sweet but the lemon sauce cut it a bit. Plenty of whipped cream! This place is very red with lighting so the photos don't show true colors.Service was great and it was easy to split the check with the toast device. We will certainly return for a meal."Chicken Parm pays the bills!"
