★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Reviewing eating at the bar downstairs - had a really lovely experience, the staff have brought across a deep sense of care & attention to detail over from Libertine (which I’m biased and love). Really engaging space, strikes a very interesting line between being minimalist without lacking character - I couldn’t see art on the walls but never felt it missing - has a very classic yet modern New York feel and it’s great people watching. Drinks follow the intentional cue of the space & are fantastic. Food is deeply flavourful, classic and joyously crowd pleasing. It’s the staff who will make you want to be a regular. Love their energy & attentiveness. Full marks from me & an easy 5*. Looking forward to trying upstairs!
August 19 · Jonny BarrettThe food was decent, but the service left much to be desired. It seemed like our server might not have had experience in higher-end establishments — for example, I was only halfway through my wine when he asked if I wanted another drink, which felt oddly timed. The atmosphere was also a bit uncomfortable. It was already quite chilly outside, yet the AC inside was blasting, which caused our steak to go cold before we could finish it. Several guests, including us, voiced concerns, but it took some time before anything was adjusted.Additionally, while I understand tight spacing is common in NYC, the tables here were uncomfortably close. We could clearly hear the entire conversation at the next table, and I’m sure they could hear ours. It made for a rather awkward and self-conscious dining experience.
August 23 · Sora E. Park⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐I saw a new place opened up now to far where I live. It used to be Mexican, now if I’m not mistaken French Chateau Royal. I really was impressed from start to finish. The food was delicious and full of flavor. The atmosphere was amazing — cozy yet lively, perfect for a night out. The drinks were fantastic, and they definitely don’t skimp on the alcohol. Great place to enjoy with friends or family. Highly recommend
August 14 · D.Y Y.DAll in all a lovely experience made even more special by our lovely host, Cody Pruitt.Cody has put together a delightfully serene, yet fun environment. Both the bar area and restaurant are gracious, warm, and inviting. There is both a large wine list, and a menu with lots to choose from. The food, the service, and the atmosphere were a perfect mixture. The desserts were light and tasty. Can't wait to go back. Thanks for a wonderful evening.
August 14 · Susan H. TischGreat romantic atmosphere in the dining room. The attention to detail is unlike any other - from the martinis in ice cold glasses to the freshly ironed table cloths. Only complaint is they do not have a full bar upstairs so options are limited.
