★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Great food but lost points for service (rather, lack thereof).Granted it was a large group that went, there were missing cutlery, missing cups, not enough water, forgotten food, etc. Food took long but there were 11 dishes for us so it's understandable, but not everything else. Orders were taken down with pen & paper so you just had to cross orders off when its served. As for cutlery, cups & water, just count the heads and put that many sets and 3 full jugs of tap water on the table; we weren't exactly demanding first class service and are more than happy to pass things around Mong ourselves. On the plus side, it was the first time our lothad Senegalese food, and we loved it. A few accidental bites into extremely hot peppers but no damage beyond a few tears, a brief panic and a lot of laughter. And it was nice that they set aside a large enough space for us when we called ahead to let them know to expect us.
February 23 · Rangsey KeoI came here with a friend and it was so good I had to bring my son. He loved it. The hostess was so beautiful and friendly. After my son was done with his food she continued to pour lamb and couscous onto his plate. The place is not fancy but the food tastes just like home! If you can, you should go!
March 25 · Victoria AllendeI went there last Sunday. I ordered the Dibi lamb with salad and ginger. The lamb was delicious. The salad was fresh. My friend ordered rice and maffe with lamb. I was surprised he liked it although he is not used to African food. To me, the service was ok. I go to different African restaurants in the USA. I gave up on csr. If I compare, the csr was ok. I just like the fact that my food looked exactly as the picture. I loved the onions, mustard, the freshness of the salad... Great job to Senegal! If I lived in NY, I will call them every weekend to deliver since delivery is free.
November 09 · Life MyAlain is a great guy! I know him since he used to work at Africa/Kine. The food was always great there, never had a complain for 15 years!!!! Depending on the Chef/day, the food chez Alain is not good all the time and they don't listen to your orders.SOME OF THE STAFF ARE RUDE, HORRIBLE AND UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!!I dealt with a rude woman name Adie on Sunday, Feb. 21st at 5:30pm, I called and ordered a grilled fish with alocos and I asked for a delivery. She called me 10mns later saying the fish was ready. I had a really bad feeling, because the grilled fish takes at least 25mns to be grilled.Once I received my order, sure enough the fish was very, very cold and dry, it seems like the fish was sitting there for a very long time and because they could not sell it, they just gave it to me! I immediately called Adie and she said she will send someone immediately. I waited for 2H30!!!!!! Without anyone ever coming! After waiting for 2H30pm and I called few time, each time she will say the guy is on his way etc... Adie hang up on me more than 10 times!!! And refused to talk to me. Then, she transferred me to a random guy who said he was the owner Alain!!!!I told him he is a liar, I know Alain and this is not his voice!!!!!HORRIBLE SERVICE AND THEY DO NOT RESPECT CUSTOMERS WHO ARE SUPPORTING THEIR BUSINESS!!!!!! They are so many African restaurants in Harlem, you need to respect your customers and they hard earn money!
February 21 · Faye NYCThe food and service both were excellent. We only got the chicken dinner, nothing to adventurous but it was still very good the side salad was just what I needed after a day of walking NYC.
