Its location on Cleveland Ave is a significant advantage, as this is a well-trafficked road that is easily accessible by car. Like most fast-food restaurants, it is designed for convenience, and the location likely includes a drive-thru, a service that is highly valued by customers on the go. This feature allows patrons to quickly place their orders and receive their food without having to leave their vehicle, a major benefit for those with limited time or during busy periods. - Takeout / Counter Service: Customers can come into the restaurant and place their order at the counter for a quick meal to take with them.
- Drive-Thru: A crucial service for a fast-food establishment, the drive-thru provides maximum convenience for customers who want to order and pick up their food from their car.
- Dine-In: The restaurant has a dining area for customers who wish to eat their meal on-site.
- Online and Mobile Ordering: Like many modern fast-food chains, this location likely supports online ordering through the company's official app or third-party delivery services, though availability can be subject to change, as indicated by some online listings.
These services are the foundation of the restaurant's operation, aiming to offer a variety of ways for customers to get their food. The availability of both takeout and dine-in options allows the restaurant to cater to different dining preferences, from a quick meal on the run to a more relaxed, albeit still casual, sit-down experience. The convenience of these services is a major reason why fast-food restaurants are so popular in communities. However, it is also important to consider the potential for wait times and service quality, which can vary as noted in customer feedback. The mention of a 30-minute wait for chicken, for example, suggests that service speed may not always be as quick as customers hope. This reality is part of a balanced perspective, and it is useful for locals to be aware of such possibilities. Despite these potential variations, the restaurant's service model is built to be accessible and convenient, a core part of its appeal to the Columbus community. Church's Texas Chicken is known for its distinct menu and specific features that differentiate it from other fast-food chicken chains. The highlights of the experience at this particular location, as observed through public information and customer comments, center on its food and, at times, its service. The key features include:
- Signature Menu Items: The menu is centered around classic fried chicken, but it also includes popular items like flaky Honey-Butter Biscuits, and sides such as mashed potatoes and fried okra. Some customers have praised the food itself, with one person noting that the food was "good" even while criticizing the service.
- Chicken Quality: The brand is known for its fried chicken, and for some customers, this is a major draw. However, a review mentioned that the chicken wings "aren't as big as they used to be," suggesting that food sizes may have changed over time. This kind of specific feedback is valuable for locals who are familiar with the brand.
- Service Experience: Customer reviews highlight a range of experiences with the service. While one review described the service as "horrible" and noted a worker had a bad attitude, it also mentioned that "The woman working the register before the young girl came in seemed spaced out cause she got orders wrong." This points to a need for customers to be patient and potentially prepared for a less-than-perfect service encounter.
- Restaurant Environment: A review specifically mentioned the physical environment of the restaurant, describing it as "awful, dirty, and run down." This is an important piece of information for locals who might be considering dining in, and it provides a more complete picture of the establishment than just a menu description.
These features offer a realistic look at what a local customer can expect from the Church's Texas Chicken on Cleveland Ave. While the food itself may be appealing to some, the experience is also defined by the service and the state of the physical restaurant. The conflicting feedback on different aspects of the service is a common occurrence in fast-food dining and provides a balanced view for those making a dining decision. The praise for the food quality, even amidst complaints about service, suggests that the kitchen may be the restaurant's strong point. However, the specific critique regarding the size of the wings and the condition of the dining area are crucial details for anyone considering a visit. These highlights, both positive and negative, are what make this location unique and are what locals will use to decide if it's the right choice for them. It is important to present these details factually, without judgment, to provide the most helpful information possible. The insights from real customers are the most authentic source of information about a local business, and they paint a picture that is more nuanced than any generic promotional copy could. Church's Texas Chicken Reviews
Workers try their best in a place that is awful, dirty, and run down as much as I love the old church's chicken this new Texas church 's chicken is terrible. Had to wait 30 minutes for chicken .See pictures below
Mar 04, 2024 路 Linda NewmanHorrible. End of storyCame back 4yrs later and the service is still horrible. A young girl working came to work stressed out about something and just had an attitude serving and put two orders in one box. I didn't feel like correcting her. She should have stayed home but I'm sure her broke non-working baby dad is a bumb. The woman working the register before the young girl came in seemed spaced out cause she got orders wrong from me and other people. The food was good but I noticed the wings aren't as big as they used to be. I guess they go with a new chicken farm or the FDA told them to quit selling those big juicy delicious steroid sized wings. 馃槀
Jan 11, 2024 路 TQ DiegoThis location has terrible service. The lady preparing our order had no idea what she was doing. She was messing up orders. We ordered first, and someone else got their order first, who ordered after us. Her order was all wrong. When I finally received my order after 20 minutes of waiting, my order wasn't even complete. I still had to ask for my missing items. As a restaurant manager, when running a shift, you are a team, and everyone should be part of the team, including the manager. You work with your team to get customers in and out the door. Had this gentleman stepped in to help her ,we probably wouldn't have waited so long. Walking around drinking his mcdonalds iced coffee was more important to him than his paying customers.
Mar 03, 2024 路 Crystal SanchezThis Church's Texas Chicken, Has very bad service. I don't live in Columbus,oh.. But everytime I come here they run out of chicken... And the chicken be in the back freezer. The manager doesn't be there. Only the Assistant Manager there. I have seen customer's pay for there food. And order there food and go to there car. And when they come back in the store. The Assistant Manager as give there food away. And say they can't give them back there money. The Assistant Manager is very rude at the customers cussing all in the store. That's not good. You can't buy know fountain drink. Because it not working. Church's Texas Chicken, y'all need to get it to together. Because if y'all don't. Y'all won't be around for long. I seen so many people walking out the store on Sunday. And fussing because there was know chicken. It happens all the time with this store. It's a shame all I can buy is a Cajun rice and 6 biscuits. Coming from out of town!!! 馃槨
