Degrees Restaurant at Columbus State Community College Reviews
I took my wife here for a date night, and we were both surprised at the quality of the food. With students working there we didn't expect much of the food or staff. To our surprise the food was excellent, and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The prices are somewhat high, but gratuity is included in the prices, so it works out. The honey butter biscuits were excellent, I really enjoyed my Cesar salad. The kimchi fried rice was different than anything that I've had before, the kimchi gave the perfect acidic flavor. My wife enjoyed her soup and cheese burger. Our biggest surprise was the vanilla ice cream, it is made in house and it's excellent! It's very rich and the texture is something that dreams are made of. I recommend this restaurant if you're looking to try something new and support the Columbus State culinary students.
Feb 25, 2025 · V RockWent to visit because my nephew takes classes here. He had warned me about some of the odd attitude from staff members previously, but we went to Degrees just to hang around with him and his friends. The short middle aged man with the arm tattoos, glasses talks so poorly to the students that are serving publicly, so I cannot imagine what he says to them when there’s no customers around. The food was good for what it is, interesting menu, students are so kind, but the way he was talking about other students in front of customers is unprofessional and unsettling! He is old enough to not use those words in front of his staff. Treat people kindly, we DO listen and it DID alter our experience.
Feb 19, 2025 · Manu ChaoOkay, so last semester I was going to Columbus State and I discovered this neatly kept, hidden away gem of excellence. I tried the fish tacos. Unfortunately this semester they did not have them on the menu. (I know! Womp, womp, womp!!!) But I found something else that'll take your appreciation for your taste buds to the next level!!! So I chose the Blackened Salmon Club. My oh my, was it delicious!!! I also had the french fries (delicious), the asparagus (fresh), and the house salad. All blew my expectations away. I love the way this restaurant sits on Cleveland avenue in Mitchell Hall very unexpected. Also the natural lighting just sets a unique ambience for not only dinner dates business means branches and lunches but also just a great stop in to get a drink. Extremely pleasant and helpful and informative staff wonderful smiles who do not hesitate to provide very hospitable accommodations. A must visit.
May 01, 2025 · Londell (Abdul Hakeem)I came here for dine in because I was hungry and wanted to come to this place and, I ordered the chicken parmesan and it was tasty. However the waitress that took my order mixed up my order with a chicken salad. 10 minutes later a guy came up to me and said here’s your chicken salad, and I told him I didn’t order that then he said oh ok sorry. Then 5 minutes later the waitress that took my order, apologized to me for getting my order mixed up. Then 10 minutes later my chicken parmesan finally came. Overall this was a good experience and I enjoyed the food I will definitely be coming back!
Feb 08, 2025 · Safwan SafeerI went today with a colleague for a business lunch. Service was fantastic, though timing out of the kitchen was a bit rushed. However, given most business types are in a rush at lunch I didn’t think much of it. I had the seafood chowder soup of the day and the fish and chips. While the fingerling smashed potatoes weren’t technically chip, the whole dish was quite tasty. My colleague had the mushroom risotto and it was tasty too and not over salted - a refreshing change. It was busy at lunch but not noisy which I appreciated. I’ll definitely be back!
