New York City is a world-class destination for fine dining, and within its bustling culinary scene, certain establishments stand out not just for their food, but for the entire experience they offer. Drai's Supper Club New York, located at the crossroads of the Meatpacking District and Chelsea, is one such place. It’s an elegant venue that brings a unique blend of high-end French-American cuisine and a sophisticated nightlife atmosphere. The concept of a "supper club" has a rich history in New York, and Drai's pays homage to that tradition while infusing it with contemporary flair. The venue is designed to be a dual-level experience, with a sophisticated dining room upstairs and a sultry, speakeasy-style lounge downstairs. This two-part layout ensures that whether you're there for a full dinner or just for drinks, you'll be immersed in the unique atmosphere. The attention to detail, from the decor to the curated music, is what defines the establishment. While the service can be a point of varied experiences, the core promise of Drai's is an unforgettable night out where the food, drinks, and ambiance come together to create a singular event.
In a city with countless fine dining options, Drai's sets itself apart by creating an immersive environment that is as much about the entertainment as it is about the meal. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Vibe-wise, Drai’s has a dark, swanky jazz club atmosphere with amazing live music—definitely a strong point. The food was also excellent: the caviar pasta was unreal, the Caesar salad and shrimp were solid, and the cookies with chocolate sauce were a cute, crowd-pleasing dessert. But the service? Pretty disappointing, especially given the prices. We had an 8:30 reservation, were seated right away, and the place was nearly empty—but no one came to take our order for over 30 minutes. We tried to order Veuve for a birthday celebration (it was on the menu), but they were out. Ended up getting two bottles of Dom, and still had to flag down our waiter for refills. Nothing comped, no extras—despite dropping serious money for a party of three. Also felt scammed when the second bottle of water clearly came from the tap, even though they charged $10 like it was Evian. We checked out the lounge downstairs before midnight—totally dead. Maybe it’ll pick up with time, but for now, it’s skippable.Overall: Great food, fun vibe for a birthday, but the service and value don’t justify a return. In a city like NYC, there are too many other places doing it better.
July 01 · CalliDrai’s Supper Club was a fantastic experience from the minute I walked through the door. I was greeted at the door and seated immediately. The chairs were comfortable, the restaurant is beautiful. The wall art, the lighting, the room, the live music all comes together to give a perfect setting for any dinner. Then as for the food itself, it was phenomenal. We had the black truffle risotto, the tomato and burrata tarte, the rack of lamb, the hanger steak, the chocolate chip cookies, the vanilla ice cream martini, and the espresso martinis. Everything was so good, I can’t even put it into words to describe it. You just have to try to for yourself. The service was excellent and very attentive to anything we could possibly need. Very clean establishment, great service, and better food.
May 11 · Sean DolanThe dark, aesthetic, and fancy vibe is simply beautiful. We went early and easily got seated in the lounge, which was perfect for grabbing a few drinks. The service was absolutely perfection, and you could tell the drinks were made with genuine care and passion. If you're looking for a top-tier night out, this is definitely the spot!
July 11 · Eye NoFrom the moment I stepped into Drai’s Supper Club, I knew I was in for something special. The ambiance strikes a rare balance between sultry elegance and high-energy sophistication—perfectly curated for an unforgettable night out. But it wasn’t just the vibe that made the evening exceptional. It was the food, the wine, and most of all, the impeccable service.Let’s talk about the stars of the show: the steak and bone marrow. The steak arrived perfectly charred on the outside, rich and tender within—each bite bursting with bold, peppery flavor. Paired with the indulgent bone marrow, served piping hot and gleaming like liquid gold, the dish was pure decadence. It’s the kind of plate you want to savor slowly, hoping it never ends.Equally impressive was the service. Our waiter wasn’t just knowledgeable—he was intuitive. After a brief conversation about preferences, he recommended a wine pairing that was absolutely spot-on: full-bodied, smooth, and beautifully matched to the richness of the meal. It elevated the entire experience, showing a level of attentiveness and expertise that’s rare even in the best dining rooms.Drai’s isn’t just a place to eat—it’s an experience. Whether you’re a local looking to celebrate or a visitor searching for a night to remember, make sure this spot is on your list. And a special shoutout to who I can only assume was the manager. Didn’t catch her name but she was gracious, warm, and present every step of the way—effortlessly making us feel like VIPs without ever being overbearing.
June 23 · Sameer GoyalDrais supper club has finally made it from LV to NYC. The chic, throwback jazz lounge and speakeasy offers amazing fare, lovely music and atmosphere. Truly, it’s the very epitome of The Gilded Age/ swanky 60s, to which it hearkens. We absolutely loved it and our server, J’on, really made our dinner special. His knowledge of the food and wine was encyclopedic. Thank you!
