★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Guy I spoke to was very upfront that my order would take some time. I was hungry but I knew I wasn’t ordering fast food. It was ready before I knew it and I was pleasantly surprised. That brisket grilled cheese was ridiculously good. Probably the best I’ve ever had. Definitely want more!
May 18 · Jon OOn my families first trip to Houston we struggled to find many spots that were special that we couldn’t get where we came from, but we found El Pobre and couldn’t have wished for anything different! The reviews online don’t lie by any means, this is definitely a must have when stopping in Houston! Alfredo and his mother have so much hospitality and love, and they know how to COOK. We got the brisket quesadilla, the brisket grilled cheese sandwich, the churros, a brisket taco and fries, it all was 10-20 dollars per person, and the prices are reflected incredibly well for the amount of food you get and how delicious it is. The service was wonderful, the foods super affordable, shareable AND it was made rather quickly and HOT too. We split it among four people and we still had left overs! DEFINITELY a must try when in the area.
February 18 · BrandenFood was delicious and well made, I appreciate the bubbles he threw in for the kiddo.I got the brisket burger and it was very stuffed and juicy, I would highly recommend and get again. The quesadilla had nice flavoring to the meat with the herbs. The salsa included were very yummy and not super spicy in my standards.Fries are awesome and should always get some whenever you are here. 10/10

AND THIS SPOT IN THE PARKING LOT OF A BREWERY DID NOT DISAPPOINT ME!! Or anyone in my family! The portions are HUGE!! A true reflection of Eve RT thing is bigger in Texas and the meat was so rich in flavor 😭 and tender. We had the brisket grilled cheese. The brisket quesadillas. And the brisket taco with peppers! ALL SHOW STOPPING!!! But that quesadilla had to be my favorite when I thought the grilled cheese was. And THE FRIES!!!!! HOT FRESH CRISPY SEASONED AND DELICIOUS!!! I wish I could eat some right now! 😭😭😭 I’m back in Atlanta now and I know that flavor can only be found at El Pobre in Houston, TX. I’ll fly back out just for that Brisket! SO GOOD!
