What is worth choosing?
Fedora is a destination worth choosing for those who are looking for a specific type of dining experience. Its primary appeal lies in its intimate and romantic setting, making it an excellent choice for a date night or a quiet evening with a close friend. The restaurant’s atmosphere is its strongest asset, providing a cozy and sophisticated backdrop that feels distinctly West Village. Diners seeking a reprieve from the loud, crowded scenes of some other NYC restaurants will appreciate the serene and thoughtful ambiance here.
The menu, described as "wine-bar style," offers a unique and interesting array of dishes that go beyond typical restaurant fare. For adventurous eaters, options like sweetbreads or the lauded pierogis provide a chance to try something different. The focus on pairing food with wine and other alcoholic beverages means that the drink menu is given as much attention as the food, which is a big plus for wine connoisseurs. The restaurant remains a fixture for a reason, appealing to those who appreciate a quiet, cozy, and sophisticated night out in one of the city's most charming neighborhoods.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We were seated 30 min after our reservation time and while the service team engaged us, I thought they’d minimally comp the drinks we ordered while we waited, but nope, no service recovery. Everyone was pleasant to communicate with though, I wish it translated to actual action. Food is very wine-bar style with interesting options like the sweetbread and the squid with quail eggs. Thought the fish could be skipped, but the pierogis were well deserving of its praise.
June 18 · Rovik RobertI was excited to revisit Fedora after loving it back in 2019, but sadly, the magic just wasn’t there this time. The space still has that charming West Village wine bar vibe—great for a date—but that’s about where the positives ended for me.We were seated at the bar (which was fine), but the bar stools were incredibly uncomfortable. The menu has clearly changed under new management—which the hostess/GM confirmed—and while I get that they’ve revamped things, you can tell they’re cutting corners on food costs. For example, the grilled squid with quail eggs was salty and underwhelming, with a comically small portion of squid. Bread came out burnt (it's not complimentary). Their strawberry seasonal dessert was simply just sweetened strawberries with some cream on top. The bartender / who was also our server suggested us ordering the biscottis dessert with it to complete the offering, which we didn't since we had already ordered so much at this point. The place will probably do fine financially with their pricing strategy and lean food cost structure, but it no longer feels generous or special. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning.
June 22 · Olivia LeeBeautiful spot with delicious food and wine. I snagged an early reservation while in the city and sat at the bar. Staff is super attentive and friendly. Drinks included the coronation and a glass of orange wine. For a smaller plate i had the pierogi which i highly recommend! The dough and sauce on the pierogi dish are light and so fresh. For main entree i had the beed which was tender and well cooked. Wish i had room for desert but will definitely return!
June 18 · Michael COne of my favorite wine bars now! All the food is really yummy, and they have a very interesting menu. Absolutely loved the sweetbread and seabass. Negroni was also very unique, more French dry vermouth instead of sweeter version. The vibes are also impeccable, feels very European in the best way possible. Service was also really nice and everyone was very friendly.
April 22 · MagsThis place is a true hidden(not so hidden) gem. Food is great, ambience is amazing, music does the talking and the wine quest is so fun! The list is adventurous and the team is so excited to share their favorite bottles and stories about the producers, who they are, why and how they do it that and it definitely inspire you to book a ticket to go to France right after the dinner is finished! Also tons of cool amaro and vermouth bottles that you get to taste behind the bar! Adooore!Super excited to see how the menu will be changing with the seasons! Every dish is a labor of love and you can also see the kitchen where the magic happens 🥰Will be back soon! Thank you ❤️Sorry no pics of food as it was gone before I had a chance to grab my phone-which is the best sign of a perfect meal 🚀
