★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I stopped by this place on a Thursday evening around 6:30. I’m usually a bit hesitant when visiting Jamaican restaurants because the customer service can sometimes be lacking. Well, this was a great surprise. The ladies working there were incredibly polite and helpful, even ending our interaction with a lovely “It was a pleasure serving you.” It made the experience all the more enjoyable.I spent just under $40 and got a large chicken curry, spicy patties, and a small order of spicy wings. The portion sizes were generous, and it easily fed four people and the food was great.Next time I’m craving Golden Krust, I’ll definitely be returning to this location.
January 04 · Troy GordonFrom the moment I walked in, the service was incredible. I was warmly greeted by a gentleman with locs as I stood in line, which immediately set a positive tone. When I got to the counter, the lady helping me was so courteous and kind. Gabriel offered me three different rice options — rice and peas, spinach rice, and white rice — and even though the lunch special technically ended at 4:15 PM, they still honored the $9.15 deal even after the cut-off time.I have never experienced this level of service in a Caribbean restaurant, especially not at a Golden Krust franchise. The staff here truly went above and beyond. The atmosphere was welcoming, and I genuinely felt valued as a customer. Gabriel mentioned that she takes pride in making sure this location offers great customer service, and let me tell you — it shows. That warmed my heart. This visit was such a breath of fresh air. Kudos to the entire team at this location — you’ve gained a customer when I’m uptown and in the mood for Caribbean food. I will absolutely be back!Thank you guys again
June 25 · Ram OffDO NOT EAT HERE. They serve UNDERCOOKED FOOD & THE OWNER OF THE ESTABLISHMENT IS VERY RUDE. Before heading to work I placed an Order @ approximately 2:35 today, forCurry Chicken, Rice and Peas with Cabbage. I was satisfied with the attendee who helped me with my order, they were very good at communicating. I paid about 17.80 for the medium size container. I received 2 dollars and change back and processed to leave a tip for the ladies in the front. I get to work, & went to eat ate it. ALL THE MEAT WAS PINK AND UNDERCOOKED. I AM OF A CARIBBEAN DECENT AND HAVE BEEN EATING CURRY FOR YEARS.Once I noticed I called in immediately and informed the restaurant. The OWNER of the establishment then went on to say to bring it back. HOW !? If I am at work DOWNTOWN Manhattan !?? I get off by the time of closing. I offered to send the pictures that I will be attaching, he still insists I bring it back. Mind you, I was given no receipt! Just my change. I told him I can come in tomorrow for a refund. He told me to bring the food with me ????? So I am suppose to keep the food till tomorrow basically. Which is absurd ! Basically if I didn’t bring it with me no refund. Just a weirdo all around. Really an unacceptable why to treat a PAYING CUSTOMER. Probably why it was empty when I went in there. AS I SAID I AM OF A CARIBBEAN DECENT been eating it for years. NOT 1 piece was cooked through. A little pink is expected but this is off. !!! CLOWN.
August 31 · Star RI ordered the large Brown stew chicken, rice n peas w cabbage and 2 jerk chicken patty. The patty was delicious but the brown stew chicken was Flavorless. For the amount of money$ I spent I feel like they could have did better and not serve waterd down chicken. I feel like they are trying to cater to a certain clientele. If they keep that up, they will lose a lot of customers & money$ in their business.
July 13 · DeeEverything is five stars here. When you come in, you are greeted with a warm welcome and all the staff are friendly. The food is soo tasty. Now I am contemplating how much of my pay cheque I have to budget to buy food here 😩😂.. Try them. You won’t be disappointed.
