★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1On August 2nd, a brand-new restaurant opened its doors, and I couldn’t resist taking my family there for breakfast. It turned out to be the kind of meal that makes you glad you ventured out early. The first thing I noticed was that all the rice rolls are made fresh to order—no shortcuts here. None of that reheated, pre-made stuff you find elsewhere. The shrimp rice roll was just perfect: soft, tender, and flavorful, without that rubbery chew you sometimes get. The duck rice roll was a delightful surprise—something you don’t see on menus very often. Paired with crisp lettuce and just the right drizzle of soy sauce, it became something truly memorable. The fried dough came beautifully plated—almost fancy enough to distract you from its humble nature—but one bite brought you back to the basics. Crunchy, chewy, and not the least bit greasy, it was exactly what fried dough should be.As for the pork liver congee, if you’re into that kind of comfort food, you’re in for a treat. It had just the right consistency—not too thick, not too watery—warming and satisfying from the first spoonful.Service was excellent, and while knowing a bit of Chinese helps, it’s not necessary to enjoy your visit. Overall, this spot feels like a welcoming addition to the neighborhood—serving fresh, well-made food at prices that won’t make you break the bank.
August 10 · Hong YeungThe pork was dry like parchment paper. $10.25 for this tray, they consider this as 2 appetizers 2x$5 . The clay pot had no crispy rice on the bottom, which is the best part of a good pot. NONE .Service was not that great . Felt so rushed . Never again .
August 20 · terri leiWe ordered the clay pot rice, but it felt a bit undercooked. The portion was okay, though. Most clay pots cost around $12, and it took a while for it to arrive. Another table that didn’t order the clay pot rice and opted for a three-meat appetizer even asked about the delay. To make matters worse, the waitress forgot she had already taken our order. The space was limited due to the large, cushioned chairs being used, which caused me to be bumped into a couple of times by customers and staff squeezing through to other tables to sit and clean up. Despite these issues, the bright decor was a plus. One advantage is that it’s open until 2 am, which is rare in the area since many places have stopped operating past 8 pm or 9 pm since the pandemic.
August 13 · A WongGreat quality food and amazing prices will definitely come again
August 10 · Alec FungLove their peking duck. The place is very clean and new. Nice service and food came out very fast. My go to place in NYC 👍👍👍
