When it comes to the menu at Loong Noodles, the noodle dishes are, unsurprisingly, the main event. While the quality of the noodles themselves can be inconsistent, the other elements of the dishes often stand out and make them worth trying.
The Dry Mixed Beef Noodle is a highly recommended choice, with customers praising the beef for its tender, melt-in-your-mouth quality and rich flavor. Another popular and well-regarded dish is the Chili Wonton. These wontons are served in a delicious chili oil sauce, making them a great option for a satisfying appetizer or a light meal. For those who enjoy a bit of heat, the Spicy Chicken Cold Noodle is a refreshing and flavorful option, especially during warmer weather.
The Wan Za Dry is a unique and popular dish with a complex flavor profile that is a must-try for a new experience. The Scallion Pancake is also a great side dish that offers a crispy and savory complement to your noodles. Overall, while some of the dishes may have room for improvement, the quality of the main ingredients like the braised beef, along with the reasonable prices for the area, makes Loong Noodles a solid and worthwhile choice. It provides a no-frills, authentic Chinese noodle experience that is both comforting and affordable in the heart of the city.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I ordered the Dry Mixed Beef Rice Noodles, and I was pleasantly surprised by the beef. It looks unassuming but tastes amazing—tender, almost melt-in-your-mouth, far better than I expected. The noodles, however, were a bit overcooked and too soft for my liking. The overall flavor was decent, not bad but not standout either. While I wouldn’t highly recommend this place, the price is quite reasonable for Manhattan, making it a solid option if you’re on a budget.
May 04 · Kaylie NgThe beef rice noodles were overcooked — they would have been better with a bit more chew. But the braised beef in the (dry mix) rice noodles was quite good — tender and flavorful. The dry mix came with lots of toppings and was priced in the high $20s. The vegetarian dumplings (mushroom and vermicelli filling) were pretty standard — nothing special, but decent.
June 18 · Kim JinI am sorry but my lamb noodles were just bad. The noodles were way over cooked. When I picked them up with the chop sticks, they just fell apart. They tasted like mush. The broth had no flavor. The meat had no flavor. The wontons in chili oil were amazing but served boiling hot. The seating area is crowded.
June 13 · O V HLoone Noodle on St. Marks Place has been my go-to spot for comforting and delicious soup since they opened their doors, and I can't recommend it enough! I'm a huge fan of the vibrant neon decor, it just adds to the fun and casual atmosphere. The service is consistently friendly and welcoming, which makes every visit a pleasure. But the real star of the show is the food – it's absolutely delicious and incredibly affordable, especially for NYC. I'm particularly obsessed with the pork intestine soup (so flavorful!) and the chili wonton soup (the perfect balance of spice and savory). I've brought countless friends here over the year, and they all agree – Loone Noodle is a winner. It's hands down my number one choice for a satisfying and affordable bowl of soup in the neighborhood. If you're looking for a tasty and fun noodle experience in the East Village, definitely check out Loone Noodle!
February 20 · KUKI GOEggs are still rare and expensive, but I’ve been desperately craving tomato and egg, my all-time favorite chinese household dish. For only $13, I was overjoyed to score a massive bowl of tomato and egg noodle here in St. Marks Place. They have a variety of chinese style noodle soup and dry mixed noodles, all under $13 and in HUGE portion. My friend and I had to share a bowl and pack some leftovers home.*Dry Mixed Tomato & Egg Noodle $12.99***So homey and comforting. I picked wheat noodle and I preferred it over the typical rice noodle. The noodle held up the sauce really well. The bowl was healthy and flavorful topped with bok choy and cilantro. Will definitely get this again.*Dry Mixed Beef Noodle $12.99**My friend’s favorite! The beef shank was cut into cubes. Tender and well marinated. We got rice noodle for this bowl and it was smooth and bouncy. The soy sauce base was bursting with umami flavor.*Pork Crispy Pot-Stickers $9.99You can pick pork/chicken/vegetarian filling. I poured some housemade chili oil over the pan fried dumpling to spice it up.*Beef Tripe Salad $12.99Interesting texture! Absolutely loved the sauce base made of garlic, sesame, and chili oil.
