★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I give a 3 star because I used to love this restaurant the food was great when it first opened. We enjoy big family dinners at this restaurant because the food was good and the ambiance was great. They have mariachis some nights and it gives it such a back home in Mexico vibe.Lunch wasn't as good as I remember. I was disappointed by the food and the inattentive service. There was hair in my soup, the food took so long, and it was hard to get any attention from any waiter.Wish it was like it was before because I really liked this place and the food. But now it isnt as good as it used to be.
April 30 · Anna D¡Delicioso! On my latest trip to the City, this cool restaurant was only a couple blocks up from my hotel, and we decided to go in for a late brunch after we checked in. As it was brunch, I decided I had to have a drink, and since it was a Mexican, I got a Bloody Maria, which was spectacular with a spicy seasoned rim and a crisp, fresh lime. My companion ordered a margarita, which was likewise very tasty. House chips and salsa were fresh and fantastic. For my entree, I got Chilaquiles con Huevo y Pollo, and it was excellent. Tasty salsa verde, fresh tortillas, tender and nicely crisped chicken, queso fresco, and crema. Egg yolk was over, but I can't get too mad haha. My +1 got huevos divorciados, the classic dueling red and green sauces over poached eggs, frijoles negros, and jamon. The bartender was really friendly and helpful, and though we only had one alcoholic drink each with our meal, he kept our water glasses full throughout our meal, and conversed with us pleasantly. After dinner I had a Corralejo Blanco, which was a nice finish to the meal. I don't find myself on the upper west side too often, but if I were in the neighborhood again, I would stop back here.
November 09 · Nino Cosoleto-MillerFun restaurant that provides an experience as well as great food. Amazing carnitas, awesome guacamole, and all around amazing food. The staff was also professional and friendly. Also, they decorate well for holidays, which is very cool.
November 06 · Corey CherringtonThe margaritas and guacamole that is made table side is great here. Unfortunately the food is over priced and not really worth it. Usually I order the nachos with coworkers and the portions are never the same. Sometimes horribly small, sometimes over loaded.
August 30 · Alexandra KazmierskiGood Margaritas and great Maduros... Tacos weren't what I was expecting but very tasty. Service was good despite the place being packed, highly recommended.
