Popeyes is my favourite among fastfood restaurants, reminding me of New Orleans. There are some Popeyes restaurants in New York. This one on 125th street has a lot of atmosphere, often packed with people. The people working there are nice. I tend to order a 3 or 4 piece combo with red beans and rice on the side. This time the chicken was a bit too dry, but the beans were perfect.

Customer service was very fast. I ordered the chicken sandwich the one that Popeyes ran out of last month and it was good nice and crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside.

They don't ever have any sauce but the basics. The food is stale and old. If it just opened, there's no reason my food tastes like leftovers. And when you ask for something that comes with the meal, it's an issue. At night you can't eat here because it's always packed it's disgusting. And don't get me started on the homeless people in the area that just harass you as you eat.

Chicken sandwich came with MOLDED bread. I completely lost my appetite. I called to ask for a refund and the manager told me he could only replace my order. I went in and asked for a refund again but was given SO many excuses. One of the employees had the audacity to say that it’s only molded on the bread and the chicken is fine. I was told I could only get a refund for the sandwich since that was the only thing that was wrong with my order. I lost my appetite for the entire meal because if my sandwich had mold that says a lot to how poorly the restaurant must be handling the rest of their food. I was then told I needed a receipt and I didn’t have one (my mistake) but then I gladly showed them my Chase bank statement and the employee told me that I needed the drinks (which I left at home) I told her I could go home to retrieve them but then she ultimately said I can only get a refund on the sandwich. The employee and the manager both handled the situation so poorly. I won’t ever come back here again.
