July 27 · SEAN GIBBSVisited on a Sunday evening, waited under 5 minutes to order. Chose the taco combo, but they were out of red rice and offered extra beans instead. Two cups of beans sounded absurd, so I asked for chips or another taco. The cashier, clearly sincere, had to ask the manager, who said no. Disappointing, but beans it was.Food was ready in under 10 minutes to go. I grabbed every salsa from their self-serve station. The tacos were soft and mushy, and no salsa made them satisfying. No spoon for the beans, so I sipped from the cup and they tasted like standard Mexican-style pinto beans.
August 10 · Richie HolguinThis was definitely a social media hype. I went there with high expectations because they were coming from my homeland of LA. And sad to say that these are not it. The adobado was OILY with no flavor. The asada and chicken were so dry. I had to add extra lime and the green salsa to make them edible. The rice and beans were really good. But yeah, that’s sadly it. The home made tortillas has good flavor but definitely the reheat makes them dry. I’m sure people like the quesadillas because the cheese can mask anything but a taco is the tell tell. Also, yes be warned that the space is tight to eat there. Please know I’m being generous by giving a 3.
August 02 · Gloria EspinozaBest tacos in West Village by a long shot. The quesadilla and tacos with pork and/or steak were the best. Can’t wait to come back.
