In a city with a plethora of ramen shops, Zurutto Ramen distinguishes itself by offering a unique blend of comfort, quality, and convenience. The most compelling reason to choose this restaurant is its ability to deliver an authentic and satisfying ramen experience in a fast-paced environment. While some may criticize the lack of a "vibe" or "ambiance," this is precisely what makes it perfect for its location. It's not a destination for a long, leisurely, sit-down dinner; it's a place for a quick, delicious, and deeply satisfying bowl of noodles. The focus is squarely on the food itself, which is what matters most to a hungry New Yorker.
The menu is another key factor. Beyond the classic ramen bowls, the presence of unique and well-executed dishes like the Truffle Mazemen shows a willingness to innovate while honoring tradition. The dry noodles, as one reviewer noted, are a delightful alternative for those who want a spicy and savory dish without the broth. Additionally, the availability of a wide range of appetizers and rice dishes, from Pork Buns to Unagi Don, means that even non-ramen lovers can find something to enjoy. This versatility is a major selling point and makes Zurutto suitable for any craving.
The service is also a significant reason to choose Zurutto. Customers consistently highlight the staff as being "great" and "attentive." In a city where fast service is often a trade-off for quality, Zurutto proves that you can have both. This efficiency is especially important for lunch and dinner crowds. The affordability, while not the lowest on the market, provides excellent value given the quality of the ingredients and the generous portion sizes.
Ultimately, choosing Zurutto Ramen is a decision to prioritize a reliably good meal over a flashy atmosphere. It’s a place for people who want to eat well, eat quickly, and feel satisfied without fuss. For anyone in New York seeking a dependable and delicious ramen spot, Zurutto is an excellent and highly recommended choice.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We were seated in the Zurutto side so reviewing this place. Wheelchair-accessible entry.Got Truffle Mazemen which I liked - Dry noodles, spicy, with ground pork which I couldn't tell though bec mixed with crispy onions, etc, and a ramen egg. Large portion of eel in his Unagi Don but the rice had too much sauce. The Beef fried rice was pricey and we didn't like - sticky rice texture, not a lot of beef, which was a bit chewy anyway. Tempura appetizer had thick coating over a small shrimp, crispy/wasn't oily. Soggy Calamari. Green tea ice cream had 3 scoops and is rich in flavor, which was good. Ambiance could be better - there were boxes stored by the dining area. Service was great, attentive.
November 11 · K VCI had the ramen with the garlic add which was good! It's attached to tenzan so you can also get their sushi. Love tenzan sushi. The atmosphere isn't the strong suit though. It's very bright in there and just overall doesn't have much of a vibe, but it is a nice neighborhood spot.
February 06 · Joanie AMy friends and I swung by Zurutto after a long day out for a cold one and some good noodles. The restaurant is combined with another Asian business next door so you are free to order from both businesses. Since we came in for ramen, we stuck with our hearty bowls of noods.I ordered their Vegetarian Miso Ramen with no egg and added tofu since there was no protein already included. The ramen included bamboo shoots, kimchi, and green onions. I really enjoyed my piping bowl of ramen with its thick noodles, tasty broth, and all the toppings working well together.Service here was also very friendly. They helped answer any questions and even made sure our group photo looked good. Thanks Zurutto!
October 30 · Andy NgTLDR; best ramen in the neighborhood! I've been to probably 20+ in midtown/UES/EV.Ambiance (5/5): The establishment is huge and spacious with the room being divided in two rooms. It's a couple restaurants combined into one (Zurutto, Tenzan, Omakase Shihou). One side has a counter/kitchen and the other a full bar. It's quiet, brightly lit, and ornate. Upstairs is the omakase.Service (5/5): We came super late at night (9pm) and there were still several patrons but very few staff members. While they did not come to check in on us during our experience, we were able to get their attention very easily whenever we needed something. Staff was polite and friendly when I asked more about their establishment.Food:Zurutto Deluxe Ramen (6/5): Everything about this ramen was phenomenal!! The portions were huge--there was FIVE honky pieces of charsu which had the perfect ratio of fat to meat. The meat was tender to bite and juicy from the fat, seasoned through, and thick. Other competitors would give only a third of this portion. On top of that, there was a FULL seasoned soft-boiled egg (not the usual half). The bamboo shoots were marinated in seasoning too within the other toppings of diced white onions and scallions. It comes with a side of blacked garlic (which my bf poured all into the bowl, whereas I did not pour any bc it's not preferred flavor profile). I asked for a side of chili oil (+ $1) which further amplified the already savory broth. The soup had depth and umami, not too salty, and didn't need any sauces. Ask for your noodles a little more firm (I could tell the difference between the regular and the firm). Will absolutely come back again!!Spicy salmon roll (3/5): The salmon was good but the rice was a bit stale.
March 13 · Steph WI am very picky with my ramen and I love this place - probably my favorite in the city so far.The sweet potato tempura was decent, a bit dry for me but I think its because its with the special salt rather than a sauce. The ramen was fantastic! Checked all my boxes -✅️ affordable✅️ chashu is delicious and smoky (its blowtorched)✅️ broth is flavorful but not too salty✅️ nitamago is delicious and you get BOTH halves✅️ generous amount of meatHighly recommend :)
