Mocktails available.👶🏾 Kid-FriendlinessYes — though the environment leans more toward adults and groups.⸻Experience OverviewWe didn’t plan to come here. It was a last-minute decision after circling a few spots with nothing landing. But it ended up being a solid choice — not perfect, but definitely memorable.⸻AtmosphereThis place doesn’t ease you in. It’s all bold color, graffiti walls, chandeliers, and bubblegum-blowing animal portraits. It leans loud and dramatic — intentionally over-the-top, and not trying to hide it. It’s a place you come to notice, not blend in.⸻ServiceAva was our server — confident, calm, and easy to work with. She didn’t try to upsell us or hover, but she knew her menu and made navigating choices easier.Pro tip: If you’re unsure on drinks, ask questions. She offered a few sips to help narrow it down, and it made a difference.⸻What We OrderedHot & Juicy MargaritaWatermelon purée, lime, Tajín rim, jalapeño– Balanced heat and sweetness, refreshing– Can run sweet, so ask for less syrup if neededBirria Tacos– Looked great but underdelivered on flavor– The consommé was oily and lacked depth– Not terrible, but didn’t stand out (especially if you’ve had great birria elsewhere)Street Corn (Off the Cob)– Served on the husk with cotija and chili– Good presentation, missing a bit of brightness– A squeeze of lime or pinch of salt would’ve helpedCarne Asada Egg Rolls– Crisp, filled well, and good to share– The chipotle-BBQ sauce was a win– The ranch-style sauce felt random, but overall it worked as a shared bite⸻Weekly Specials Worth Knowing• Margarita Monday: Half-off house margs, $8 mocktails• Taco Tuesday: Half-off margs, $2.50 domestic cans• Whiskey Wednesday: $8 bourbon cocktails, $4 carne asada egg rolls• Happy Hour (M/W/Th/F, 3–6PM): Discounted drinks + tacos⸻Would I Go Back?Yes. This wasn’t a perfect meal, but the overall experience was enjoyable — especially for something unplanned. The food has highs and lows, but the drinks, service, and atmosphere pulled it together. If you’re looking for quiet, this probably isn’t the place. If you’re in the mood for something loud, colorful, and flexible with drink options? It does the job.⸻Helpful to know before you go:– Ask for light syrup in drinks if you’re sensitive to sweetness– The birria wasn’t their strongest dish– It’s a good spot for groups, but can be a lot if you’re looking for a laid-back vibe– The service was a standout⸻Hope this helps!
Aug 01, 2025 · Let Jess Tell ItMy husband and I wanted to try something new, so we gave Agave & Rye a shot—and we’re so glad we did! The atmosphere was really cool with a fun, vibrant vibe that made it feel like more than just dinner—it was an experience. The service was top-notch from the moment we walked in. Our server, Vina, was amazing—friendly, attentive, and super quick with our food. She checked in just the right amount, making sure we had everything we needed without hovering. The food? Delicious! Bold flavors, unique twists, and great portions. And the drinks—so good. We tried the Bee’s Knees Margarita and a watermelon-flavored one (can’t remember the name, but it was fantastic). Both were fresh, flavorful, and definitely something we’d order again.Highly recommend if you’re looking for a place with great energy, amazing food and drinks, and even better service. We’ll absolutely be back!
Jul 21, 2025 · Marica JohnsonThe vibe was so cool here! (See pics for simple explanation)…Visiting from Pittsburgh for a tournament. Stopped here with my teammates for dinner and the tacos were amazing! The service from Vina was phenomenal! She was so polite and very knowledgeable of the menu. Helpful to the max!
Jul 19, 2025 · Valerie CostaThis place is great! The different style tacos are awesome, unique and delicious. I also really enjoyed the fresh tasting salsa and drinks. Service was prompt and friendly, it’s something that is good for a filling meal that is quick and satisfying.
Apr 15, 2025 · Cameron SpradlingStopped in on Marg Monday with my sister who was in town and her friend. We ordered the following.DrinksPrickly pear margarita- 4/5, not strong tequila flavorMango Margarita-4/5 delicious but a bit sweet.Hot lips (mocktail) 4/5- really good. Some zero proof spirits have an after taste so I subbed ginger beer.FoodPlain Jane sub chicken-3.5/5- too many tomatoes (scraped of enough for another taco and still had enough)Snitch (2) 4.5/5- salt & vinegar chips were the perfect zingAlderman-4/5 surprisingly, good amount of spiceRooster- 4/5, good spice and filling.Plain Jane (no soft shell) 3/5- meat was seasoned but not flavorful and really oily.Chips & dip flight, I love their chips. Thick, crunchy, not overly salty.Guac- 4/5 good flavorful, but lot of fillers vs AvocadoSalsa- 2, super sweet unusual for regular salsa. Desperately needed acid/citrus and/ or heat.Queso- 4, solid queso, but the cheese on top was a little weird.Overall,Agave has a great vibe between the ambience, playlist and service & Great specials (marg Monday, taco Tuesday, whiskey Wednesday, happy hour, etc.). They also have a great selection of whiskey and tequila selection. The food is not my favorite, and it's over the top... but for all of the other things I'd recommend it. Last note, the menu is chaotic. Very busy, no logical order/ flow.
