China City Buffet Reviews
My family loves a good Chinese buffet. We used to visit this place pretty frequently prior to the pandemic. It has gone way down hill. When we arrived the parking lot was almost empty and sort of seemed abandoned. When we entered the place just looked rundown and unkempt. We were seated relatively quickly. Our drinks were served and we were off to make our plates. The food had been sitting there for quite a while. Food items were stuck to their trays and some things had gotten mushy and some too hard for consumption. The rice almost felt uncooked, but it had just been sitting out. Vegetables had gotten so soft and unpleasant to eat. We filled our plates with our favorite dishes and were immensely disappointed. Barely any cold dishes like crab salad. The lettuce was covered in ice, just very unappealing. And for 4 adults the total was $65. I paid cash and the server short changed me by $2. She said I was wrong when I asked for the rest of my change. She went to grab my total sheet and came back with the remainder of my change, instead. Unfortunately I didn't leave a tip.
Feb 19, 2023 路 Tanya Kuehner-YoungVery nice place and food was really delicious 馃構All of people are friendly, and I think this restaurant was the better place than others.
Aug 15, 2024 路 Eiichi MurakamiWas really disappointed had leftover old overcooked noodles. The rice didn鈥檛 taste like rice. The meat options were disgusting and you could tell was days old as well. 馃あI would not recommend this business to anybody. The only things I was able to eat here was the ice cream and cone that they did not make and I filled up on that. Waste of time money and you can tell there鈥檚 no love for the food here.In all honesty, I don鈥檛 know why this rating to this place is this high.
Jun 22, 2025 路 keepNpeaceThe food has been delicious, hot and fresh every time I have visited here. I've lived in Cbus for 4 years, and this is the only Chinese buffet I go to. The servers are very friendly and helpful, but not bothersome. And it's always at a decent price. Bathroom is a little shady. It's very dark and ancient-looking. Although I was alone in the bathroom, I comically felt I should watch my back, like I was peeing in a dark alley, or something.
Jun 08, 2025 路 LarryFood is old and cold do not recommend eating here they don鈥檛 check the food all the servers do is talk to each other instead of removing the bad food the Mac n cheese was old and watery some food was ok but the wontons looked like they have sat for hours also they had a tv some people like It but I expected music to Match the theme of the restaurant but that鈥檚 just my opinion $16.99 per adult the price is to high for the quality of the food and service
