When visiting La Reyna Tortilleria, the menu offers a selection of authentic and popular Mexican dishes. The most obvious choice, and a must-try for any first-time visitor, is something that features their renowned tortillas. The Tortillas de Maiz and Tortilla de Harina are the foundation of many dishes and are worth purchasing on their own to take home.
For a classic and flavorful experience, the Birria de Borrego (lamb birria) is an excellent choice. Birria is a traditional Mexican meat stew, and this version, made with lamb, promises a rich and tender flavor. Similarly, the Menudo is a popular choice for those who appreciate traditional Mexican soups. A customer review mentioned this dish, so it's a good indication that it's a regular offering. For a hearty meal, consider the Pollo Rostizado (rotisserie chicken), which is a staple of many Mexican eateries and is often served with a side of their delicious tortillas.
The restaurant's menu also includes Tamales, with both chicken and pork options. Tamales are a beloved comfort food, and ordering them from a place known for its fresh corn products is a surefire way to get a great one. Don't forget to grab some of their fresh salsas to complement your meal. For a simple and quick bite, the Tostadas or Chips are a perfect way to start. While some customer experiences may highlight issues with service or specific dishes, the general consensus is that the tortillas are excellent and the food is a solid representation of classic Mexican fare, making it a dependable spot for an authentic meal in Houston.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1If I could leave a 0 stars on this I would, for bad customer service on management. Leaving an issue to an employee to deal with should not be the employees job. No call back from a manager and the number in store for issues or complaints always goes to voice mail.
July 02 · Jonathan GonzalezThe menudo gave me explosive diarrhea and sulphur burps aside from the that the tortillas were decent and queso too unfortunately when I came here they only had queso fresco and not queso seco I’ll be coming back for the tortillas only and nothing else
March 26 · Carlos UnbertoTheir "barbacoa" is literally dry brisket chunks and the menudo was salty
August 09 · Bianca ChristineBarbacoa and tortillas are delicious the menudo was not good at all
February 23 · Jose GarciaThe fresh tortillas are so good even at room temperature. The chicken is juicy and very flavorful. I got the combo which was a whole chicken and sides of rice, beans, and cabbage salad. I also got a lb.of queso fresco and 2 lbs. of fresh made corn tortillas all for only $25. Service was friendly and speedy...will definitely return soon.
