April 05 · Greg M3.5 so far. $7 Small plate was more than enough portion for me. (This is based on someone who can finish her Big Mac but can’t finish her beloved fries.) I’d rather have a $5 smaller plate. The stew chicken just fell off the bone! But the flavor was bland. The yams melt in your mouth but not too sweet. Collards were perfect, not too salty. Have to try the jerk chicken and curry goat before I finalize the rating though.Oxtail was good but the beans in the rice was dry.
September 26 · Byulaa KuI had been here twice. The first time the food was just ok. It's hard to get a chickpea roti in Manhattan so I went back 6 months later. NO LOVE... barely any flavor in the roti. The chicken still had the bone and no flavor. The second time around the hot sauce was extra weak. The only thing that was done right was the ginger beer. I had the homemade version before and they did it justice
September 13 · M GYeah. Sides no flavor. Jerk chicken was just hella peppery and over cooked. Oxtail was over cooked. Only thing good was the oxtail stew sauce. Only cash and no receipt either. Not going back
May 01 · kevin hamiltonAmazing jerk chicken and other authentic Caribbean foods with daily specials. $7 for a big bowl, one of the is best deals in the city.
