Ko Sheng Introduce
For those in the Ohio region, and particularly the Columbus area, discovering a truly great Chinese restaurant can feel like finding a hidden treasure. Ko Sheng, tucked away in the Cleveland Innis Plaza, is exactly that kind of place. Despite its modest exterior and location in a shopping center that might not immediately grab your attention, this restaurant has built a loyal following over more than 15 years. It has a reputation for serving up consistently amazing food with a level of quality and flavor that keeps customers coming back time and again.
The core of Ko Sheng's appeal is the food itself. Patrons rave about the fantastic taste and generous portions. A fan of over 15 years describes the food as always tasting amazing, with anything fried having the "perfect consistency, crunchy but still soft." This attention to detail in the cooking process is a major reason for the restaurant's success. The General Tso's Chicken is a particular highlight, often ordered with egg fried rice and an egg roll, which a long-time customer even credits with making them a fan of egg rolls for the first time. The egg fried rice is also noted for its larger-than-average pieces of egg, a small detail that shows the care put into each dish.
Beyond the high-quality food, Ko Sheng is celebrated for its affordability. The prices are consistently low, especially for the generous amounts of food provided. One customer mentioned getting a combo meal with General Tso's Chicken and egg fried rice for just $10.75, an incredible value in today's market. This combination of great food, large portions, and low prices makes Ko Sheng a favorite for those looking for a satisfying and budget-friendly meal. The friendly and polite staff, who are noted to be of Chinese descent, also contribute to the authentic and welcoming atmosphere of this "hole in the wall gem."
While some experiences may vary, as is the case with any restaurant, the overwhelmingly positive feedback from long-term customers speaks volumes about Ko Sheng's consistency and quality over many years. Its ability to maintain its standards and deliver delicious, freshly prepared meals is a testament to its dedicated staff and management. For locals who appreciate a restaurant that prioritizes the food and the customer experience above all else, Ko Sheng stands out as a true culinary cornerstone in the Columbus community.

Ko Sheng Reviews
This has been my favorite Chinese Restaurant for over 15 years! They’re food always tastes amazing, they’re very polite and know how to make good food.Anything they fry is always the perfect consistency, crunchy but still soft, and I think that’s what I love the most.In the pictures I took is a combo meal of General Tso’s Chicken, with egg fried rice and an egg roll. That’s another thing, I’ve never liked egg rolls until I started coming here. They also deliver to your home which is something most Chinese restaurants don’t do, and they’ve done it for at least the 15 years I’ve ordered from them and consistently arrived on time within 30 minutes of ordering it.The shop is small, it’s a hole in the wall gem, located in a shopping mall you’d probably never consider turning into because the shops around it, in my opinion, aren’t anything special, besides maybe the Pizza Hut next door.I’m surprised I didn’t already review this location, since it is definitely the best Chinese food I’ve had in Ohio, but if you’ve never been here you definitely need to try.The staff are also of Chinese descent, which is awesome because obviously they cook the best Chinese food being that they’re Chinese.Their prices are awesome and low, the amounts are more than enough, and the quality is amazing. The meal I bought costed me $10.75 and I ordered it specifically with egg fried rice. Another thing about that, the pieces of egg are bigger than other egg fried rice I’ve had at other Chinese shops, which is also a plus!
Jun 09, 2023 · Corey GravesNot satisfactory. Portions are laughable. Paid $9 for a lunch price. Very small portion of chicken for the price. Ridiculous. Literally give the smallest napkin with so much grease on the food. Tried it right after they handed it to me. Cold chicken even colder broccoli. Will not be a repeat customer. Literally no one in here in the middle of the day the phone doesn’t ring. Obviously noted. There’s cutting corners, and then there’s going out of your way to make sure you don’t get any repeat customers. The cashier was rude and gave me a different price than the menu said and then changed the price. For someone who works there a long time it is a surprise that you would quote a higher price and then change to the menu price after I politely ask if the price had changed from the current menu. Rice tastes like it was reheated in oil that was reused who knows how many times. Will not be coming back. Guess customer satisfaction is not important to this restaurant. Literally frozen food that is reheated at home tastes a thousand times better and the portions and price don’t compare.
Mar 29, 2024 · ANNA WOLFHaven't been to Ko Sheng in over ten years. The were good back then but used to have waaaay to much oil floating at the top of your food. I decided to try the again and I have to say much has changed. No extra serving of oil this time. I think the wings are overpriced at $5 for two and have full wings. The Chicken and Broccoli could use a little flavor, but it still was good!
