This charming American eatery offers a unique and delightful culinary concept, described by a recent patron as "Californian inspired with a French twist." Savta is a place where you can unwind and take your time, as the service is praised for being "slow paced yet attention," allowing you to fully savor the experience. While the entire menu at Savta is an experience, some dishes are particularly worth choosing to get the full flavor of their unique concept. The homemade bread is a non-negotiable part of the experience, and it comes with a delicious starter like the highly recommended Tapenade. For appetizers, the Blue PEI mussels au gratin with bread crumbs, parsley, and garlic are a must-try. Another standout is the Beef tartare, which is elevated with crispy rice and served with sourdough multigrain. The menu also offers a selection of pizzas with meticulously fermented dough, and options like the Prosciutto cotto Pizza with marinara, mushrooms, and fior di latte are celebrated by diners.
For larger plates, you can’t go wrong with the Beef tenderloin served with a rich green peppercorn sauce. If you’re a pasta lover, the Fettuccine with clams & bottarga is a great choice. The menu’s focus on vegetable-forward dishes is a highlight, with options like the fried artichoke hearts being a definite hit. The drink menu is also worth exploring, particularly the happy hour deals on cocktails. What truly makes Savta worth choosing is the combination of its innovative menu, elegant yet comfortable ambiance, and the impeccable service. As one diner pointed out, the ability to order leisurely and enjoy the evening at a relaxed pace makes for a perfect date night. Savta is a new but already beloved spot that offers a blend of comforting classics and exciting new flavors, all within a truly lovely and unique New York setting.

The perfect place to wind down with a friend or partner and get a bite.Wasn’t sure was Californian food was so this was an experience. We really enjoyed the bread and specifically the Tapenade starter! Highly recommend. It was our favorite! The rest of the food was great, a little too rich or salty for me. The artichoke was great! Woah it was more fried. The service was great, slow paced yet attention. Was able to order leisurely and take our time enjoying the evening.

April 10 · Adam GiladiWas led to Savta by the InKind App and am so thankful . Such a charming spot . You can sit inside but still feel like you are outside . This is because of their big window and lovely garden area in the back . Absolutely loved their Italian ginger ale and the food was fantastic . Shot out to Santiago who showed warmth and hospitality to all guests . They also have a great happy hour and brunch . Go check it out .
September 12 · Kristen (Gypsy Monkey)It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon, and we decided to hit the Greenwich Village neighborhood looking for a place to sit outside and people view. This location gave us that, and the food was good. The courtesy bread and the cheese spead to start your meal was delicious. Enjoyed my visit!
