Sushiro the Handroll bar Introduce
In a city renowned for its diverse and world-class dining, finding a sushi restaurant that stands out can be a delightful challenge. Sushiro the Handroll Bar, located in the charming West Village, offers a fresh and focused approach to this beloved Japanese cuisine. As its name suggests, the star of the show here is the handroll—a perfect, cylindrical creation of warm rice, crisp seaweed, and incredibly fresh fish. Sushiro provides a unique and intimate dining experience, distinguishing itself from the typical sushi restaurant with a casual, cozy, and trendy atmosphere that feels both welcoming and special. The focus is on quality ingredients and masterful technique, ensuring that every handroll is a bite of perfection.
Sushiro is a haven for sushi enthusiasts and casual diners alike, offering a streamlined menu that doesn't overwhelm but promises excellence. The restaurant has quickly become a favorite for its consistently fresh fish and the generous portions of each handroll. Whether you're a connoisseur of sushi or trying it for the first time, the experience at Sushiro is designed to be straightforward and satisfying. The restaurant also identifies as Asian-owned, a detail that adds to its authentic identity and connection to its culinary roots. It's a place where the simplicity of a handroll is elevated to an art form, making it a compelling spot for a quick lunch, a relaxed dinner, or a unique solo dining experience.
Beyond the delicious handrolls, Sushiro offers a full omakase experience, allowing the chef to guide your meal with a selection of their finest creations. This is a great way to explore the full range of flavors and skills the chefs possess. The atmosphere is consistently praised for being warm and inviting, providing a comfortable space for conversation without being too loud or crowded. Choosing Sushiro the Handroll Bar is a decision to experience a truly unique and high-quality sushi meal in the city. The primary reason to visit is the quality of the food itself. As a customer review highlights, the fish is "fresh and great tasting," and the handrolls are "so loaded" with generous portions, offering an incredible value for the price. The "Snow Crab" handroll is a particular favorite, and the entire "premium set" is praised for its excellent flavors. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Wow one of the best hand roll sushi bar I been to. I went here and had the omakase and a few hand rolls. The fish was fresh and great tasting. The services was great so was the atmosphere. Would I go back. I definitely will be back.
July 18 · Chris JohnsonA pricey meal, but I do think you get a great value given the generous portions of fish. I have never had a handroll so loaded! The flavors were great and you could tell the fish was fresh and of good quality. I had the premium set ($48) and enjoyed each roll, but the snow crab was my favorite. Service was attentive and friendly.
May 14 · Carly LukHands down the best Japanese hand roll restaurant in NYC!Tried their premium set with 5 different rolls—each one was outstanding, but the Toro and Eel were especially memorable. The service was attentive and refined, truly on par with Michelin-star standards. Desserts were excellent as well. Can’t wait to come back!
