July 05 · Michel NeeI had high hopes for Chef Jacob African Restaurant, but unfortunately, it was a huge letdown. First off, the food was way too salty—every dish we ordered had an overwhelming amount of salt that made it inedible. I tried to speak to the server about it, but she just brushed it off. Horrible customer service! Cashier is so rude to customers! The worst part, though, was when I saw a rat scurrying around the dining area! This was incredibly off-putting and completely ruined any chance of me ever returning. Cleanliness and food quality should be a priority, and I really hope the management addresses these serious issues. Definitely not coming back.
August 10 · Fatoumatta CeesayI love this restaurant for traditional Senegalese takeout. (I would dine in when pandemic is over). They even have attaya, Senegalese tea, while you wait for your order!Everything we ordered is delicious and since I don’t live nearby I always order extra so I have leftovers. Staff have all been friendly.
September 01 · M GAfter a long day of work, I went to this place to buy Debbi. It was all burnt. if you’re grilling and your food is burned, Why not throw it in the trash instead of putting it on someone’s plate??? It is disgusting!!!! and then charging them!! I didn’t realize it until I got home hungry as hell just open my plate ton find out my whole food was burnt
June 30 · Mari BaThis used to be one of my "go to" restaurants as the food was very tasty. However, I will not be patronizing this establishment anymore. Service was not very good as we had to request basic things like place mats, water, cups. We had purchase the water. Secondly, the Nem was too salty and spicy to consume. Lastly, our entres, were mediocre at best. Plenty of rice and small amount of protein. Then there is the gratuity for 4 people which I usually see for a party of 6 or more. I have no problem tipping, but honestly the service and food needs some improvement. The atmosphere is very cozy and the restaurant is clean.
