I was introduced to Dominican food when I met my boyfriend in NY/Bronx … I’ve tried a lot of Dominican food in dyckman(populated Dominican area in NYC) and my boyfriend and I agreed moka is better than most of them. There’s some comments saying puerto rican food.. but moka is a Dominican restaurant. The sancocho was thinner than usual but the flavor is so good it doesn’t matter. Oxtail is good, and the churrasco! I have only gotten the food to go so can’t comment on dining in and service.. but the to go lady was nice !

Ever since i was told that Moka cafe was gonna open a restaurant, i have been eager to come and eat some puertorrican good food but to my disappointment the menu had like 2 puertorrican dishes at most the rest was colombian. I ordered the Mofongo but from a scale from 1 to 10 i gave it a 4 honestly. Didn't have much flavor or texture at all. I was expecting it to be rich in flavor and garlic i did not tasted the garlic at all . Not to mention i was expecting to have meat on the side and at least some mayoketchup with it but not just bit pieces inside the mofongo and thats it. So yeah the Mofongo was a big disappointment. I also ordered a Mojito and it was also a disappointment. Atmosphere was excellent, parking space great, service i gave it a 3 star cuz it was good services but sadly they didn't had any desserts at all. And i think if you are running a business its key to make sure if you are running low on something to make sure to have it restock on time? This place still have room for progress tho. Below i will show a picture of an actual representation of MOFONGO!! So yall can get a better inspo on how to properly serve a Puertorrrican dish!

We picked the food from restraint. As we carefully grabbed the food from our car, the the food fell though the bottom of the bag. The bottom of the bag was very wet and we lost our food that was expensive.

Brought some co workers in awhile agoTrust when I say hard pass..Most of the items were not available.Luke warm mofongo with bits, I means *bits* of porkAnd skirt steak that's way over priced..Our server was good but that's it, literally.
