Ding Ho Restaurant Reviews
We ate dinner at Ding Ho’s and it was delicious! I had a bowl of Hot and Sour Soup, two egg rolls, and Cashew Chicken with Fried Rice. My spouse had an egg roll and War Sue Gai. Everything was very good. The egg rolls were the best we’ve ever had. The sweet and sour sauce with hot mustard is a must for me and these egg rolls did not disappoint! Our server was courteous and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was inviting and clean. We will definitely be returning soon!!
Apr 10, 2025 · S BI saw their advertisement on instagram. I was expecting their food from the oldest Chinese restaurant in Columbus. But their food was somehow disappointing. It was more like an American Chinese food instead of authentic Chinese one.I ordered the Ding Ho appetizer sampler with fried shrimp, ribs, an egg roll, and fried rice. The size was great and enough for me. But I could not recommend it for one person, because everything tasted dry. So, I also ordered a small size of hot and sour soup. The soup and fried rice tasted authentic. The egg roll was large but had too many hard cabbages. Ribs were mediocre and dry cooked in an American way. They had a large dining room with a good bar. It was interesting to see their last-century old menu where the dishes only cost few dollars. They also had some beautiful chinas and decorations. But there was a block in their men restroom, which was disgusting and smelly. They refused to make it clean. At least, it could be covered by something like plastic bags. I could not believe I saw these gross things before eating. WiFi was not available.

May 24, 2025 · Trina PatrickI travel through Columbus a lot and I recently heard about this place on a YouTube short I had seen. As a lover of Chinese food I figured I'd stop since it's right off of 70 via 270. The first time I had Hunan Chicken, hot & sour soup and their legendary egg roll (a hint of nutmeg which I love). I went through there today and decided to stop and figured I'd try the Wor Sue Gai which I believe is their signature dish. I didn't enjoy it as much as I hoped, it was fine but I wouldn't get it again. I tend to lean towards spicy dishes. The hot & sour soup and egg roll were both money in the bank once again. I judge Chinese restaurants by their hot & sour soup and this place will blow your tits back. I had the same server both times and she rules. It seems like everyone knows everyone in that restuarant, which I like. I'll keep coming back.
Mar 22, 2025 · William B. DearthI had seen several videos stating this was the oldest Chinese restaurant in Columbus, so naturally I would think it had to be great to stay in business. The location is out of the way. Reviews are mixed. We had a Pu Pu sampler. It was decent, egg rolls were very good, but the spare ribs were not great, a bit tough for my liking. Our dishes varied including garlic chicken, General Tso, Bol toy. We were not impressed with the fried rice or any of our dishes. They were good, not great. I certainly would not go out of may way to eat there. Our local Chinese restaurant is much better so to drive an hour and a half to experience an average, at best meal left us all a bit disappointed.
